Clare

Clare is a RIBA Chartered Architect and has been registered as an architect in the UK since 2010. She has always had a passion for sustainable building practice and is a trained Passivhaus designer, specialising in breathable buildings. In her early years, she worked for various international practices on a range of new-build and existing residential and commercial projects. Since setting up her own practice in 2015, she has developed a wealth of hands-on building, management, and collaborative experience across a variety of small projects. She thrives on a puzzle and loves creating something special, whether it is a deep retrofit, a Passivhaus, a tricky historic building, characterful interior design, or a landscape project.

Oscar

After completing a Masters in Structural Engineering and Architecture at The University of Sheffield, Oscar practiced as a Structural Engineer in London with Price and Myers on various small and medium scale commercial and residential projects. After a short stint working in Christchurch on the earthquake rebuild, he worked with BJSE in Shrewsbury. His keen interest in design and building, particularly with timber, means his spare time is often spent in the workshop and on personal building projects. Oscar started Hockaday Consulting Engineering in 2021.
